When I first started seriously painting, over 35 years ago, I was drawn to the German expressionists. This evolved over time, but I think there remains a northern sensibility to my art that still finds it roots in their art. As you will see from the selection of early art below, some things change, but some things have remained the same over the years.  I think art should really speak for itself, so enough said.
